School Dismissal Manager & FastLane

For your convenience, Promise Road Elementary utilizes an on-line dismissal management system called School Dismissal Manager (SDM). It is dependable, easy-to-use, and can be updated by parents and guardians from the convenience of their smart phones, tablets, and PCs. The middle and high schools also use this platform for attendance, late arrival and early release of their students.

Through the on-line dismissal management system, you can:

• Report student absences and late arrivals
• Schedule early departures from school (you will still need to sign your students out in the office, and provide proper ID)
• Schedule after-school activities such as scouting, clubs or sports, enrichment classes, etc.
• Make transportation changes as late as 1:00 PM on the current day

Once you receive your credentials, please use them to log into the new system so that you can begin to familiarize yourself with it and set up your child’s default dismissal and routine. If you need assistance signing up, please contact the school office.

All transportation changes will be accepted only through SDM.

menu to send an email directly to the school office staff. REMEMBER: each school sets its own

parameters, policies, and procedures for using SDM and as such, you must contact your school, not SDM,

for additional assistance.

FastLane

We will again be utilizing a streamlined car rider system called Fast Lane, which is a part of School Dismissal Manager. You MUST have the School Dismissal Manager profile to use the car rider pick up system and obtain your "parent PIN #" that is located on your SDM home page. Your student must also have "car rider" selected with the appropriate pick up person designated in their dismissal instructions. Get signed up here www.schooldismissalmanager.com . 

             Each day beginning at 2:10 PM, you will put yourself in the car rider line by scanning a QR                         code posted at PRE through the SDM app. Again, the QR code will only work if you scan                             through the app or use your smart phone's camera and have the parent PIN # that was                         assigned to you by SDM. When you arrive for car rider pick up, you will stop at the purple line                 where the QR code is stationed. You will not be able to check in until 2:10 PM on any given                         school day. At that time, you will join the line by completing the QR code information and then               pull forward to the next available cone. For your reference, we've listed additional FAQs below.

If the app doesn't work on my phone, can I still pick up my student as a car rider? Signing up for the app or signing in through the website will assign you your custom PIN # that is associated to you and your student. You can use web/internet access on your phone to check into the car rider line by scanning the QR code. When you scan the QR code, it will take you to your phone's default web browser and prompt for you to enter your parent PIN # and the first 3 digits of YOUR (person picking up) last name.

Where can I find my Parent PIN # in the SDM app? When you sign in to the app or the website, it will take you to the "calendar" page. Halfway down your parent PIN # is listed, but hidden behind 6 stars. If you tap on the eye icon with the slash through it, your PIN # will now be shown. You will need this PIN # if you have to use your phone's camera for web browser access to check in. This PIN is associated to you and your student, and allows for us to confirm that you are an authorized pick up person. Do not share your PIN with other family members or let them use your phone/app for dismissal.

Can a grandparent, other family member or neighbor still pick up my student? Yes, however they will need to be added as a pick up/view only parent in SDM. You can add an additional person to pick up your student when designating the student as a car rider, either as an exception or as the default. SDM will prompt you to include that person's name, phone number and email and send them an invite to create an SDM account. They will need their own Parent PIN # (found when they log in to SDM) to pick up your student. They will not have access to do anything regarding your student other than pick them up for that specific day you have already signed them up for. If you have not selected them as a pick up person for any specific day, they cannot get in the virtual line to pick up your student.

I've added an additional person to pick up, but they haven't received the email invite to setup an account. What do we do now? Have them check their spam folder. If it's not arrived there, have them call the office. We can send another email manually and help them get set up. We will not provide the custom Parent PIN # to anyone other than the person who is requesting it.

I need to change my student to a car rider for a specific day. Is that still allowed? Yes, you can do a same day dismissal change for your student before 1 PM of the day you need a change.
